On Tuesday, October 28, South Korean media Star News announced MBK Entertainment’s latest trainee, Ha Min-gi. The agency, also known as Moden Berry Korea, said the trainee is expected to debut in the second half of 2026 as part of a new K-pop boy group under MBK Entertainment.
Ha Min-gi is the first member of the upcoming group who will communicate with the public through various channels. Additionally, the report also explains that he was born in 2007. He is the grandson of Ha Sung-ho, founder and current chairman of Sinjeon Tteokbokki, a popular Korean street food brand that owns more than 800 franchises.
He also reportedly trained with SM Entertainment before joining MBK Entertainment. Other information revealed in the report includes that he is around 185 cm tall and is popular for his visuals. According to the report, here is what agency MBK Entertainment expressed about its upcoming debut next year:
We plan to introduce a new boy group in the second half of 2026. Trainee Ha Min-gi will be the first to communicate with the public through different channels.
