Severe thunderstorm warning issued for parts of the Chicago region – NBC Chicago

Sunday evening, a severe thunderstorm warning was in effect for part of the county of Lake, while ferocious storms approached the region.
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the county of Northeastern Lake up to 10 p.m.
At 9:16 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located on Wadsworth, moving north at 15 miles per hour, NWS said. Residents were advised to expect damage to roofs, coatings and trees.
Wind gusts of 60 miles per hour and a hail the size of the size were possible, meteorologists said.
Previous severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for the counties in the south-east of the lake and the north of Cook, but were canceled after the storms.
