Die my lovea psychological drama film by Lynne Ramsay, will be released in theaters on November 7, 2025. Jennifer Lawrence plays Grace in the film and Robert Pattinson plays her husband, Jackson. Other actors playing supporting roles include Nick Nolte, LaKeith Stanfield and Sissy Spacek.
The plot, based on the book of the same name by Ariana Harwicz, revolves around Grace, a young mother who struggles with postpartum depression and psychosis after moving to a remote rural area of Montana with Jackson. The story is an honest depiction of her mental breakdown as she descends into loneliness and depression.
Even though the story takes place in the United States, Die my love was primarily filmed in southern Alberta, Canada, in various areas like Calgary, Okotoks and Airdrie.

Die my love gives an intense and fragmented study of a woman’s mental breakdown linked to the demands of motherhood. It was filmed in southern Alberta, Canada.
Filming took place from August to October 2024; however, it faced significant production delays. Originally scheduled for 2023, it was postponed due to widespread strikes in Hollywood. Later, production resumed on August 19, 2024 and filming was completed on October 16, 2024.
Die my love Filming locations include cosmopolitan Calgary, alongside the neighboring communities of Okotoks and Airdrie, as well as surrounding areas of Foothills County. This allowed director Ramsay to capture the central conflict of the plot: a couple leaving the bustling city of New York for the quiet, stifling wilderness of their new rural home.
The team used both the natural and urban environments of the city of Calgary. They filmed scenes at Lake Sikome, a man-made beach and summer recreation spot located in Fish Creek Provincial Park. Some scenes were also filmed at the retro downtown restaurant Galaxy Diner, which was slightly transformed during filming.

Die my love is led by a powerful team of producers, including Jennifer Lawrence herself, alongside legendary director Martin Scorsese, as well as Justine Ciarrocchi, Thad Luckinbill, Trent Luckinbill and Andrea Calderwood.
Pattinson gave some insight into the film’s production, saying he was nervous about a dance scene and tried unsuccessfully to persuade director Lynne Ramsay and co-star Jennifer Lawrence to remove the sequence or provide choreography for it. In an interview with GQ, the Mickey 17 the star said:
“I did this movie with Lynne Ramsay, and she’s a very good dancer. And Jennifer Lawrence is a very good dancer. They find it so easy. They’re like, ‘Dance, it’s just music, dance.’ I was like, ‘I’m going to have a breakdown when that happens.’
Notably, Jennifer Lawrence, who was four and a half months pregnant at the time of filming, called the character of Grace heartbreaking, lamenting when she read the novel. During the Cannes press conference, The hunger games the star said:
“As a mother, it was really hard to separate what I would do from what I would do. [the character] would do the trick, and it was just heartbreaking when I first read the book.
