When is it time to consider surgery of Dupuytren’s contracture?

Complete recovery usually takes one to two months. “Since Dupuytren’s surgery implies the withdrawal of the fascia but does not require repair of the tendon or the bone fixing, the recovery process varies from four to eight weeks,” explains Fuller. “The exact time depends more on the severity of the contracture, the duration of the incision and the dissection, as well as the factors specific to the patient, such as age and other health problems.”
