With the hosts already leading 3-0, the contest is no longer about the series outcome but how far India can push their dominance ahead of the final match.
In the three matches so far, India have chased down every target in 14.4 overs, have not lost more than three wickets in a match and have never been asked to chase down more than 129. India would love to bat first this time around. The bowling, however, has been the backbone of the series. Renuka Singh’s four-wicket burst in Thiruvananthapuram and Deepti Sharma’s mastery in the previous matches kept Sri Lanka under constant pressure. Vaishnavi Sharma also has an excellent debut series.
