X-Men Chrome returns from the dead under the name of “Séraphim” with a new look

Warning! Spoilers for X-Men: Age of revelation in front!
THE X-Men The franchise has just returned Chrome, a relatively dark character who has been transmitted for the resurrection for decades, giving him a central position in the next Age of revelation crossing. Chrome also received an updated design to support his new title, as one of the dangerous “Seraphim” of Revelation.
In an interview with AIPT, the author Jed McKay confirmed the return of Deep Cut X-Men The character Chrome, who played a brief but memorable role in the early 1990s as Magneto Acyte, before being killed.
It has taken decades, but Chrome is finally back with a new look and a new role in Marvel Lore.
X-Men has just returned Chrome, a mutant antagonist who has died for more than three decades
X-Men: Age of revelation # 0 introduces “the seraphim”
In the large scheme of things, Chrome is a low page note X-Men history. Presented in Chris Claremont and Jim Lee X-Men # 1, from 1991, Chrome was only sent a few problems later. The character later appeared in the X-Men: The animated series “Sanctuary” with two parts, which adapted the story of Claremont and Lee.
Beyond that, Chrome has never returned back in X-Lore, even at the top of the mutant resurrections in the krakoan era of the franchise. That is to say so far. Clever readers have timed the fact that one of the “seraphins” in X-Men: Age of revelation # 0 is listed as “Chrome”, what the author Jed McKay confirmed is the character from the early 90s.
McKay developed the process that led to Chrome Plucky of darkness and brought it back in a completely new way. The author said:
I was looking for mutants who had a story that people could indicate, without occupying them most popular than other people might want to use. There was therefore a lot of purchase of windows through older X -Antagonist groups – acolytes, liberation front of mutants, etc., for characters who would just have the right profile to fall into the ranks of the Seraphins.
That is to say that McKay admitted to having intentionally sought deep characters, in particular the opponents of mutant heroes, of X-Men Lore to bring in history, which made chrome an absolutely perfect adjustment.
The return of Chrome is the last proof that no one is really forgotten by the X-Men franchise
If Chrome has remained in power this time is TBD
The Seraphins are a new exciting unit to add to X-Men cannon in Age of revelationAnd the fact that they represent a second chance for characters like Chrome, who have never fully triggered their full potential, is one of the most exciting aspects of the crossing to date, especially for long -standing fans of the franchise.
Chrome’s improved status is accompanied by a updated look, although fans have only seen it so far. He remains TBD if he will enter the spotlight once Age of revelation takes place completely, or if it will be relegated to the minor character status once again, as it was in the 1990s X-Men series.
In addition, now fans are impatient to know if Chrome will survive Age of revelationAnd if his return could extend beyond the limits of this dark and dystopian Marvel future. In any case, X-Men I just proved once again that no character, no matter how rare their appearances are, are never really forgotten by the franchise.
X-Men: Age of revelation # 0 is now available from Marvel Comics.
