What we’re looking for and final predictions

Nebraska returns home to Memorial Stadium, after two away games, to face Northwestern in an 11 a.m. CT kickoff that will be broadcast on FS1.
Connor Onion and Mark Helfritch will be on the call on FS1. The game will also be broadcast on the Huskers Radio Network with Kyle Crooks, Damon Benning and Jessica Coody handling broadcast responsibilities.
The Huskers and Wildcats will both look to become bowl eligible with a win on Saturday. The teams did not play last season, after facing each other in each of Nebraska’s first 13 seasons in the Big Ten from 2011 to 2023. The series has a history of close games with 10 of the last 13 meetings decided by one score, including Nebraska’s 17-9 victory at Memorial Stadium two seasons ago.
Northwestern enters the game having won four straight games, including a 19-0 victory over Purdue at home on Saturday. During the winning streak, Northwestern recorded victories against UCLA and Louisiana-Monroe at home, as well as a road victory against Penn State and a Saturday shutout against Purdue.
Nebraska will look to bounce back from last Friday’s 24-6 loss to Minnesota, where the Huskers allowed nine sacks and were outscored in the second half.
Here’s what we’re looking for, the picks to click and the final predictions for Nebraska and the Northwest.
