What Riri’s agreement with Mephisto could mean for the future of Marvel

This message contains spoilers For season 1 of “Ironheart”.

Riri Williams, how could you? After all this effort removing Parker Robbins (Anthony Ramos), do you conclude an agreement with a used Satan like the long -awaited Maphisto (Sacha Baron Cohen)? What would your best friend Natalie say (Lyric Ross) if she could see you now? Well, she can perhaps share her reflections on the question now that she has been brought back from the dead.

After a few cryptic fast cuts and a conversation developed with the demonic presence which had recently abandoned the hood, it was quickly revealed that Riri (Dominique Thorne) had accepted the offer of Mephisto and had asked his friend Natalie to return to the land of life. For someone as intelligent as Riri, it certainly looked like a stupid decision to take, and it is the one that will absolutely come with repercussions whenever we find Ironheart in the future.

The choice that Riri was given here (which, frankly, she was not allowed to do) could have an impact on so many people and plot the sons – not just the immediate circle of Ironheart of friends and family, but the Marvel universe as a whole. Of course, there was a time when half of the universe was broken and dressed in existence, but bringing a single person back to a wish is an opportunity for which other heroes would die. Before we walk in this super sensitive problem, let us simply consider how the despicable agreement of Mephisto could bring together two improbable allies whenever Ironheart is again on the screen.

Maphisto could play games with Ironheart and the hood thanks to the New Deal

The problem of processing a demonic entity is that there is always a catch. Regarding Riri, following his handshake with the devil’s devil of Sacha Baron Cohen, he is only after her, without risk that anyone who becomes collateral damage by bringing her deceased friend. This is only the time for the question, however, until it realizes that this is not the case.

With an inevitable double cross on the way, it could mark another interesting battle of science and magic, and Riri may not have enough power to compete. What a big timing, then, that his former enemy, Parker Robbins, has just walked in the boutique of Zelma Stanton and could end up leaving more than what he hoped, like an alliance with an old enemy.

This is not new for heroes and bad guys to call a brief truce in order to delete greater evil (Loki has done so enough) and taking into account the current position of Robbins, he needs all the help he can obtain. In this spirit, if Riri finds himself remote in a corner and unable to get out of everything she mixed with Mephisto, could the hood come to her aid and get a return on investment while he is there? The enemy of his enemy could be his friend this time, it is only a question of the duration of the duration and the quantity of mephisto who could retaliate who will have an impact on both.

How will Riri’s mother react to the return of Natalie, but not Gary?

When Riri’s artificial intelligence took the form of a natalie, it was encountered with a very mixed and understandable reaction. Riri’s romantic interest, Xavier (Matthew Elam), was not happy at first, but was ready to try to understand the existence and goal of Natalie for the good of her friend. Meanwhile, Riri’s mother was surprised by the creation of her daughter and the authenticity of Natalie – so much so that she asked Riri if she could also have one of her late husband, Gary (Laroyce Hawkins), but the request was refused. Imagine inevitable confusion and disappointment, when Natalie returns for real, and Gary does not.

Before Riri was forced to go back to work and develop a new Ironheart costume, the super genius and his mother were not at the best of the terms, with Ronnie (Anji White) who had trouble understanding her daughter and Riri refusing to let her in. Following the final, it is very likely that a rift can reform between Riri. Could it be another inevitable drawback of the agreement that Uronheart concluded with Mephisto that she did not see coming? It will be interesting to see how things tend in the house of Williams when we revise it and how the family will take care of someone close to them by returning from the dead, while another loved one remains lost for them, apparently forever.

Could Mephisto appear in other MCU stories to conclude similar offers?

Mephisto who finally appears to open different ways for it to appear, and that does not only have to imply to force Riri to sign on the dotted line. It is a demonic force of which we are talking about and an individual to whom fatal laws do not apply. In this case, Mephisto could appear anywhere and at any time in the MCU and cut more corrupt agreements with characters in difficulty, only to find themselves in deeper problems than before.

In the comics, Mephisto torn the souls of dozens of heroes and bad guys through the history of Marvel, including members of the fantastic oven, Spider-Man and even Victor Von Doom. With names as large as this one comes into contact with this evil guy, could their MCU counterparts end up in the same company? It could make interesting stories here and there, but it could also delete something on which the MCU was built: danger and issues.

With Natalie being the first character brought back from the dead in a very real way, could he be made for other characters who fell into this current universe? Could Riri really chat with Tony Stark if anyone makes a wish to bring him back? Could the brutal death of Foggy be canceled from “Daredevil: Born again”, as in comics? If Mephisto is really starting to make appearances here and there and anywhere, we can only hope that it is sparingly. Otherwise, all that will cause is a hell of many problems.
