The receiver of Los Angeles Loaders, Ladd McConkey, lost his grandfather, Vic in 2016, but has never stopped honoring him throughout his football career.
McConkey and Les Charters face Las Vegas raiders on Monday evening, while Los Angeles is looking to start the 2-0 season for the second time in 13 years. The charges beat the Kansas City chiefs in week 1 and faced reactions in reaction of Taylor Swift fans after Travis Kelce was slapped during the competition.
Hostility remains in week 2, while the Raiders head coach Pete Carroll has full of his rivalry with head coach Jim Harbaugh, before the match. In the middle of negativity, McConkey wrote a date on his towel before each football match to honor his grandfather.
Five years ago, when McConkey received a Georgia offer to play university football, he revealed a comforting story about his grandfather. McConkey writes “ 1-20-16 ” on his towel before each match, and this is the date on which his grandfather, Vic McConkey, lost his battle against cancer.
The offer has become even more surreal when McConkey realized that Georgia had contacted him on the same date. Exactly four years after losing his grandfather, McConkey was invited to play for the Bulldogs.
In an interview with Dawg Nation, McConkey reflected at the most important moment of his football career, which fell on the anniversary of the death of his grandfather. “It did. This is really the case,” said McConkey.
“It’s crazy. I know. … It was really something. I did it, then I went” out “because it was really something. It really means something.”
Vic McConkey was a big fan of Tennessee, and Ladd said that he would have been ecstatic to hear about the offer. “He was really special,” added McConkey. “He was one of my biggest fans.

“Each match. He was there. He told me when I played and I didn’t play my best, and he told me when I played very well. He was definitely a large part of my life.”
McConkey won the national championship twice with Georgia and was selected in the second round of the NFL 2024 draft by the loaders. He had 1,149 yards and seven affected as a recruit, but established a record of the NFL during his beginnings in the playoffs.
Although the loaders were humiliated 32-12 by Houston’s Texans in the Wild Card Round, McConkey had 197 reception yards. It was the most by any recruit in a single eliminatory match, and he also marked the only hit in Los Angeles.
A superb season in small groups saw McConkey voted by his colleagues in the NFL as the 100th best player in the League. McConkey had 74 yards on six receptions during week 1, but is looking for his first affected this season.
