What Jeff Gordon said about Alex Bowman about being the worst interpreter of the HMS at WWT Raceway

The 26th place of Alex Bowman during the Sunday race at World Wide Technology was the worst among all the Hendrick Motorsports pilots. The Chevy Star entered the 15th classified race, with a 19 -point deficit below the cut -off line. He therefore had to record a solid performance to go the next round, the turn of 12.

His hopes were broken, followed by an admission franc of the vice-president of Hendrick Motorsports and quadruple champion of the series of Jeff Gordon Cups. At no time during the race, Bowman could the top 10, let alone finish it. He even suffered problems on Pit Road, in addition to Nascar giving him a speed penalty.

As reported by journalist Kelly Crandall on X, formerly known as Twitter, Gordon told him in a post-course interview that he did not yet count team No. 48 (from Bowman). However, he added,

“We just can’t get things right on Pit Road. … We were able to understand that, that’s for sure.”

The arrival of Alex Bowman in WWT follows a pair of lamentable finishes during the final of the regular season in Daytona and the opening race of the Hound 16 in Darlington Raceway, which took place last week. Today, he is 15th in the championship classification, 35 points below the cup line.

“It was just a really mediocre execution on all angles today. It was a disappointment,” Alex Bowman told NBC Sports. “I thought that our ally No. 48 Chevrolet was ok once we were a little towards half.

The next step for Bowman is the night race of Bass Pro Shops at Bristol Motor Speedway. Scheduled for Saturday, September 13, the 500 round event will broadcast live on the United States (7:30 p.m. HE) with exclusive radio coverage on PRN radio and Siriusxm Nascar.

Alex Bowman supports his Rival of the Penske team in the midst of complaints from the “illegitimate” championship

There were pilots who still want the old-fashioned seasonal point championship system, 36-Race and throughout the season. Some of them even dissected the current elimination style format. But Joey Logano is not one of them.

Alex Bowman did not find anything wrong with that. He too is a guy from the old school, like a few others, including Jimmie Johnson and active pilots like his teammate Chase Elliott and Ryan Blaney of Team Penske. But that does not make the Logano championship titles illegitimate.

“I saw people who try to say that, as Joey takes advantage of it, right? Because he had trouble throughout last year, obtained a victory, then kicked all our donkeys in the playoffs,” Bowman said in a statement.

“This does not make him an illegitimate champion. He has the system with which we must all work, and he worked better with that than the rest of us. I don’t think it makes him illegitimate,” he added.

Joey Logano is the title champion of the Nascar series. As a pilot in a playoff series, he is in the running for his fourth championship, which will bind him with Jeff Gordon as Jeff Gordon. Alex Bowman, on the other hand, has not yet won his title of career champion. But for the moment, his eyes are on Bristol.
