What happened when Dom Pérignon organized a party at the Tate

The Tate Modern perhaps houses some of the greatest works of art in the world, but it has never organized an exhibition such as last night’s display: Tilda Swinton to dance Missy Elliot while Anderson. Earlier this week, the legendary Champagne brand unveiled its latest campaign, which includes a series of photos of Schorr necklace And film by Camille Summers-Valli, featuring some of the most emblematic creators in the world, including Tilda Swinton, Iggy Pop, Zoë Kravitz, Anderson .paak, Alexander Ekman, Takashi Murakami and Clare Smyth. So what happened when these creators met in the depths of the tate? Poetry, dance and a lot of champagne. This is what happened.
Talk about an event where participants were as sparkling as the drinks served. As expected, several of the creators of the new campaign of the brand have appeared throughout the evening. Tilda Swinton – Ethereal as always in royal blue and sporting a platinum elf cup – recited a poem that she had written, encouraging the public to “dance every day” and to “respect youth”. Zoë Kravitz was there in Silk Saint Laurent, Iggy Pop wore a pair of cursors and Anderson. Paak displayed a 70 -style wig to report his alter ego, DJ pee. Pee. The other familiar faces were Alicia Vikander, Damien Lewis, Emma Corrin, Sandy Powell and Paloma Faith.
Everyone knows that it is important to line the stomach before an alcohol party. For the pre-party dinner, Dom Pérignon called on the starry chef three times by Michelin Clare Smyth (also one of the features in the spotlight) to create a culinary experience. Associated with Dom Pérignon Vintage 2008 -Plenitude 2 – Served before its release – the guests received a series of delicate dishes, including the scallop tartare, the Wagyu beef, the mushrooms, the leeks and the potatoes.
Upon entering, the guests discovered an exhibition detailing the illustrious the story of Dom Pérignon with art. Taking us a trip through the past, the present and the future of the brand, the original Dom Périgna labels designed by David Lynch And Andy warholImages of Marilyn Monroe sipping her champagne, and even a Jeff Koons sculpture of her 2013 collaboration with the brand. Of course, the images of Schorr necklace and Camille Summers-Valli’s film were at the heart of the exhibition.
After Tilda’s deep poem, Anderson. Paak made a surprise appearance as DJ Pee.wee, immediately embarking on the Pop and R&B classics, ranging from Prince to Soulja Boy, Whitney Houston to Kylie Minogue. At one point, the jazz musician Maurice Brown released a trumpet in the middle of the crowd, playing with “Fergalicious” and “I can’t get you out of my head”. Although it ends around midnight on a Thursday, it was the type of party that no one was ready to leave. Again, Dom Pérignon knows how to celebrate.
