While Netflix has several excellent series of crimes, Minor is by far the most impressive, and it is a quick frenzy. The show holds 97% on rotten tomatoes and plunges into the stimulating and dark careers of special agents of the FBI Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) and Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) in the 1970s and 1980s.
Other criminal shows of the streaming platform, favorite fans Ozark Recently canceled The seafrontare intriguing, and the video takes precedence over several programs which are also excellent examples of the genre, including the Bosch franchise. But no other show can beat MinorThe captivating tone, and it is impossible not to be completely absorbed in each episode.

The killers on Minor are really horrible, and the show is better than so many others because these characters are inspired by real criminals. Holden is also a fictitious version of John E. Douglas, an FBI agent who co-written the non-fiction book Mindhunter: inside the FBI elite series crime unit.
When you connect to each episode, you know that these characters existed mainly once, which makes them all the more frightening. Douglas really talked about serial killers to find out more about the reasons why they have committed such horrible acts.
Season 1 killer Edmund Kemper has a horrible murder cane from the 1970s, and the concentration of season 2 is a criminal like Wayne Williams, who was responsible for the murders of Atlanta’s child. It is a different viewing experience by watching a slasher film, it is easy to find yourself in history and to forget that real suffering exists.
Through the character based on Williams, the dark episodes of Minor Season 2 also explores the racist attitudes of certain police officers towards criminals, who is an important element in this story.
Minor Finally succeeded because of Groff’s powerful performance and the incredible management of David Fincher. Instead of focusing only on killers, the series examines how Holden’s work emotionally affects it. When Holden has anxiety attacks at the start of season 2, he becomes an even more convincing character, although little can probably relate to his choice of profession.
In a 2019 interview with VultureDouglas shared that he had left the FBI because “This causes a stress in the family.“” Minor Do not completely represent Douglas’ real experience, but it weaves expert in the mental health struggles of this type of profession.
Mindhunter deserved more seasons, but it’s the perfect weekend of the tense weekend
While it’s a shame that Minor Did not last more than two seasons, you can move the whole show in a weekend. Minor At 19 episodes (10 in season 1 and 9 in season 2), which was an intelligent decision because the seasons of 22 episodes could mean having banged in unnecessary details.
It is easy to imagine that the show is renewed for a third or fourth season and to continue to follow Holden’s work with other serial killers, or perhaps by presenting a new main character who is also an FBI agent. Unfortunately, Minor has not been renewed for season 3.
But, unlike some programs that are canceled without any chance of resolving a cliffhanger, you can reach the last episode and know that you have watched a fantastic show, of course disturbing. You will not be able to look away from each dark and intense episode of MinorThat you look in a weekend and that you will probably want to start all over again.
