West Ham Given Nuno Espirito Warning by the former club scout

When West Ham announced the surprise appointment of Nuno Espírito Santo after the dismissal of Graham Potter, many saw him as a calculated bet.

The new boss took a promising start with a 1 to 1 draw in Everton, but behind the scenes, the concerns are already emerging over the duration of the duration with the irons.

This result offered a brief increase in morale, but the football initiates warn that the results alone do not isolate it from the structural tensions which tormented other recent management regimes of the club.

In particular, the former scout Mick Brown warned that the two parties are adapting, the Portuguese coach could find it difficult to stay afloat under the demanding property of West Ham.

Nuno Espirito Santo is known to be frank

Nuno has a history of conflict with the owners of the clubs he managed. This happened at Wolves as well as in the Nottingham forest.

Brown, ex-West Ham Scout, argues that this type of friction could be repeated if the advice does not learn past errors.

“If recent history is something, Nuno will not last long”, “ He told Football Insider.

“I do not see what the board of directors did to show that this appointment will be different from the last two, which was not exactly a success.

“For Nuno, he left the wolves after disagreement with the owners on their transfer decisions and management, then left Forest after another disagreement with the owner.

“”[David] Sullivan and Co have shown that they are not always the easiest to work.

“I’m sure he will talk about it one day, he doesn’t need me to talk to him, but even when Maiesey was there, they made decisions behind their back all the time, like deciding to rent [Tim] Steidten against the manager’s express wishes.

“It does not even start on transfers where the president has intervened or made movements even if the manager said the opposite.

“Nuno, its history with the previous owners and knowing how the board of directors operates in West Ham. I can see it badly, as much as I hope that this is not the case for the good of the manager.”

Nuno inherits a difficult role in West Ham, entering a club already accumulated by tensions between management, property and supporters.

Although its first result has offered a promise, the historical models suggest that longevity can depend less on what is happening on the height and more how it reaches.

If the hierarchy of West Ham wants continuity and success, they must offer their manager more than good will, they will need mutual confidence, transparency and a desire to avoid repeating past errors.

Otherwise, despite the beginning of hope, Nuno could find himself under pressure much earlier than the two parties did not plan it.

The summer signature could already leave West Ham for a better team
