Wednesday admission tickets are sold out

Standard Wednesday entry tickets for Boomtown 2026 are officially sold out, organizers confirmed this afternoon. This rapid sell-out follows the immediate impact of the lineup announcement for “Chapter 5: Radical Redesign,” which features genre-defying headliners Madness, Scissor Sisters and Kneecap.
Festival-goers hoping to get the party started early on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 have only one option left: purchase a Wednesday public transport ticket. According to the official ticket portal, their price is currently £375.00 (+ booking fees) and are in their final availability phase. Once these leave, entry will be limited from Thursday.
Ticket availability and price updates
As demand increases, ticket levels are changing rapidly. Although standard Wednesday entry is gone (previously priced at £405.00 in Phase 5), significant savings are still available for those wishing to arrive a day later or travel via eco-friendly transport options.
Current ticket prices (as of November 21, 2025):
- Public transport entry on Wednesday: £375.00 (+£10 BF) – Last remaining Wednesday option
- Thursday entry (phase 4): £345.00 (+£10 BF)
- Thursday Public Transport (Phase 3): £305.00 (+£10 BF) – Cheapest entry option
Installment plans remain available for all active ticket types, with initial deposits ranging from around £38 to £50, making the cost more manageable over the coming months.

“Radical overhaul” boosts demand
The increase in sales is a direct result of the launch of “Chapter 5: Radical Redesign”. The festival has unveiled its most diverse lineup yet, making a decisive effort to expand its musical horizons beyond its bass-heavy reputation.
Ska legends lead the charge Madnessreturning to the festival after a decade, and New York glam-pop icons Scissor sisters. They are joined by the politically charged hip-hop trio from Belfast. Ball jointelectronics heavyweights Skrillex And Four Tetand dance pioneers Unfairwho are celebrating their 30th anniversary.
“While bass music has dominated in recent years and will always be our focus, we are making a conscious move to keep Boomtown musically diverse and unpredictable,” said Boomtown co-founder Luke Mitchell. “Expect more live bands and more multi-genre adventures.”
This creative reset extends to the physical infrastructure of the festival. In a gesture celebrated by longtime fans, the iconic The lion’s den the stage will return to its original home in the Temple Valley Amphitheater. Meanwhile, the HydroXL the stage will double in size, showcasing a hydrogen-powered production that highlights the festival’s commitment to sustainability.

Accommodation and upgrades
For those looking to enhance their camping experience, camp orchid resident bracelets are available for £110providing access to improved facilities. Deluxe options are also on sale, with pre-pitch locations Cloud Leaf accommodation ranging from £666 for a Luxury Teepee £957 for a Premium bell tent that can accommodate four people.
Fan reaction and analysis
Reaction to the new direction has been intense. While some purists have expressed concern about the move away from bass dominance, the overall feeling is one of enthusiasm for a “return to the roots” that prioritizes immersive world-building and live performances.
Online discussions reflect this mix of nostalgia and anticipation. As noted in a recent commentary, the redesign is seen by many as a necessary evolution to recapture the “city in the woods” magic that defined the early chapters, moving away from the repetitive skips that some participants said had crept in post-pandemic.
With over 50% of tickets already sold before today’s sellout announcement, the remaining tiers should be available quickly. Fans are advised to obtain their public transport tickets quickly if they want to guarantee their place in the newly reimagined city.
Boomtown Chapter 5: Radical Redesign will take place at the Matterley Estate, Hampshire, from 12 to 16 August 2026.
