‘We will not fear the championship’

Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson said his team was not afraid of the championship when they returned to the second level for the first time in 43 years on Saturday.
Hollywood history since the actors Rob Mcelhenney and Ryan Reynolds resumed in 2020 saw the promoted club of the national league in the championship in just three years.
The club started its campaign in Southampton – which was in the Premier League last season.
“I don’t want us to fear,” said Parkinson about the championship.
“I want us to go to each game ready to be positive. We have always been to our best when we played positively. We are going to enter each game with this state of mind and see where it leads us. ”
Parkinson knows the second level of spells well with Bolton, Charlton and Hull.
Wrexham has signed well -known names such as Conor Coady, Kieffer Moore and Josh Windass this summer while their revolution continues.
“I think it’s a big league,” said Parkinson. “Each match looks like a real atmosphere of matches.
“You can get into a good race, but you can very quickly be on a bad race and it can change quickly. Over the years, the division is so tight, until the end of the season. Last season, many teams were in the running for the playoffs.
“It’s very tight. If we are beaten, which will inevitably happen, make sure that we do not react excessively as staff, we group and work towards the next one. This is the state of mind that we had last year, we had setbacks along the way, people doubting us.
“People think with three promotions that we have praised all the time and applause, but we have had periods when people start to question me as a manager, questioning the players. You spend these periods and there is always a bigger image to watch. ”
