Alexander Isak’s declaration in its entirety:

“I am proud to be recognized by my professional colleagues with a place in the PFA Premier League team of the season for 2024/25.

“First and foremost, I would like to thank my teammates and everyone in Newcastle United who supported me along the way.

“I’m not at the ceremony tonight. With everything that happens, I didn’t feel good to be there.

“I have been silent for a long time while others spoke. This silence allowed people to push their own version of the events, even if they know that this does not reflect what has really been said and agreed behind closed doors.

“The reality is that promises have been made and that the club has known my position for a long time. Acting now as if these emerging problems are misleading.

“When the promises are broken and confidence is lost, the relationship cannot continue. This is where things are for me right now – and why change is in the best interest of everyone, not only myself. ”

Isak puts pressure on Newcastle to sell

Newcastle will surely not want to leave a star player like Isak leave, but it seems very difficult to keep it now.

The 25 -year -old who comes out with this strong public declaration will surely encourage Liverpool to try again for him.

The Reds hope that Newcastle will now have the impression of fighting a lost battle on the future of Isak, and that it could be the best for them to remove this unhappy player from their books.
