Watkins broke the club record to strengthen the first five hopes of Villa

Ollie Watkins became a record scorer of the Premier League of Aston Villa after scoring the only goal of the match while the team of Unai Emery emerged 1-0 against Bournemouth.
Watkins scored his 75th goal in the Premier League for Villa in the sixth minute of the time to stop at first half to exceed Gabriel Agbonlahor and move his secondary level on points with Chelsea and Newcastle.
Bournemouth stacked the pressure late after Jacob Ramsey was sent for a second reservable offense for visitors, but the Emery team has kept their first five hopes alive.
For the Cherries, the defeat leaves them in 10th place, two points behind Brentford and Bournemouth after the two parties won victories in the battle for a potential place of the conference league.

A closely disputed affair
It was a widely frizzy first half on a sunny south coast, no goalkeeper really tested during opening exchanges.
For the hosts, who appreciated the majority of early possession, it seemed that patience was the name of the game. Villa, meanwhile, seemed happy to wait for their time and take Bournemouth during the break.
It took until the 24th minute so that each side recorded a shot on the target, the head of Evanilson making few troubles for Emi Martinez for the purpose of visitors.
From there, little could separate the two teams. But shortly before half-time, Villa began to have a spell. Marco Asensio’s low effort has gunned the post before Kepa saves the fierce head of Boubacar Kamara.
Then, in the sixth minute of the time of stopping the first half, Villa broke the dead end when Watkins applied the test of the keys to the cross of Morgan Rogers and the ball nestled in the most distant corner.

The second half started a little more life, but above all played in the same way as the first, with very little to separate the two teams.
The two managers sounded the changes as half-time advanced, but the replacements offered little impact.
However, with 10 minutes to play, Ramsey picked up his second yellow card for a fault on David Brooks and Villa was forced to put an end to the match to a player.
He sparked a revival of Bournemouth. Antoine Sememeyo flashed a shot closely largely shortly before Martinez was called to action to be part of the head linked to the goal of Evanilson.
Illia Zabarnyi headed directly to Martinez, then, in injury time, the head of Semenyo through the goal was blurred by Matty Cash on the line when an equalizer looked at the most likely result.
The Cherries failed to compensate for late pressure, leaving the 10 villa man to take the three points and move to Chelsea and Newcastle.
The Emery team has now qualified for Europe for the third successive season. But their eyes will be firmly to ensure a finish among the first five and a place in the Elite Club competition of the continent.
