Water advice to boil in water emitted for certain parts of Cupertino

An opinion for residents to boil tap water before using is immediately in force until Sunday for those who live near the border of Cupertino-Saratoga, according to San Jose Water.
The opinion was caused by a sudden loss of water pressure caused by the nearby construction activity, the company said in a press release. Residents are advised to use bottled water or boil tap water for at least a minute before using it to drink, cook or brush your teeth.
The complete list of affected streets is listed on the company’s website.
Boiling water alerts are issued when there is a reduction in the pressure of one of the main water pipes. The incident can be caused by events such as breaks, power outages or maintenance activities.
Lower water pressure can sometimes allow pollutants to infiltrate the water supply. Boiling water can kill all potential harmful organisms that could have made their way in drinking water, the company indicates.
It is a story in development. Come back for updates.
