Watch: Proof of concept for the film of the “dark night” of Genndy Tartakovsky

Meet the black knight. Animation master Genndy Tartakovsky revealed a first promo of proof of concept for a project on which he worked. Tartakovsky is well known as one of the modern masters of animation, creator of “Dexter’s Laboratory”, “Samurai Jack”, “Sym-Bionic Titan”, “Star Wars: Clone Wars”, “Primal” and “Unicorn: Warriors Eternal”. His most recent film was FixedThat Netflix resumed and released this year after the studio dropped it. He also has another project which is also in limbo. Dark night is a project that Genndy developed with Sony Pictures Animation. The intro: “After having failed to protect his king, a highly qualified and faithful knight must turn into a black knight to save the kingdom.” Located in the 14th century, this combination of armor is actually controlled by someone inside. Genndy explains that Sony does not know if there is an audience for that, so he became a thug and published this clip on his Instagram hoping to show people and get a reaction from potential public members … So – would you like to watch a film on this guy?

About 6 years ago, we started development on a more adult animated action film, The black knight. We developed it for a few years, the studio liked what we were doing, but they did not know if there was an audience that would go to see him theatrically. We did a Down and Sale test, and still not. So, to try something different, I thought I shared the test to see if he can get an excitement swell that would change the spirit of the studio. I will not share the details of the story, except for an element, our knight armor measures 20 feet high and controlled by a knight inside using strings, pulleys and levers.
