Even if it was in early May, Saturday felt as July with summits in the mid -80s.

At the end of the afternoon, the atmosphere will become very unstable in front of a cold front and a low pressure area. There may be enough lifting and speed shear in the atmosphere to support dispersed storms, some of which could become severe.

The largest threat is northwest of the city. The Storm Prediction Center has placed the Lehigh, Poconos valley, the County of Chester, as well as the upper counties of Bucks and Montgomery, as part of a level 2 or “light” level of violent time. You can see that they are highlighted in yellow on the map above.

The radar shows pockets with potential severe storms on the counties of Bucks and Montgomery around 5.30 p.m. on Saturday May 3.

The areas closer to the Delaware river are under a level 1 or “marginal” risk, this includes the city of Philadelphia, the county of Delaware, the counties of Lower Bucks and Montgomery, and Salem, Cumberland, Gloucester, Camden and Northwest Burlington in New Jersey.

Not everyone will see a storm. The greatest chance of storms is in corridor I-95 in the north and west of all the south-eastern Pennsylvania, including Philly.

There is also a risk of low-end tornado northwest of the city. You can see that this card includes areas like the County of Chester, the county of Berks, the counties of Lehigh Valley and Upper Bucks and Montgomery. Although the risk is around 2%, stay attentive as these storms develop in case other alerts are issued.

The possible impacts are trees and electricity electric lines isolated, LHL travel delays and delays or a rain game for the Phillies game. Things were clear for the first throw from Citizens Bank Park, but precipitation could move in the sleeves from the Middle Kids to Tardive.

The rain probably lacks the start of the broad street race

Run in the Broad Street Run? Time seems a little better than a few days ago. The serious threat will be over, but there will still be a chance of rain.

A pinch is possible in the morning, but a better chance of showers arrives later in the morning and in the afternoon.

It will be a light race with temperatures in the middle in mid-60 years under a cloudy sky with a southern wind of 10 to 15 MPH and rafales isolated at 20 MPH. (May the fourth be with you, Star Wars fans.)

The summits of the afternoon will be in the 1970s.

The coming week will remain unstable with a chance of showers and storms on Monday and Tuesday, and again Thursday and Friday.

At the end of next week, we could have several inches of rain added to the bucket, helping our drought more and keeping things green when spring takes place.
