Arsenal officially announced the signing of the Danish defensive midfielder Christian Norgaard, who joined Brentford.

The 31-year-old shone during his stay with the bees and he will now bond with the Gunners, as now confirmed via the club’s official website this afternoon.

Norgaard may not be the kind of big name signature that many fans hoped for this summer, but it looks like a useful addition to add depth and experience to the team of Mikel Arteta.

Norgaard is the third signature of Arsenal from the transfer window this summer so far, following recent transactions for goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and midfielder Martin Zubimenddi.

While Jorginho and Thomas Parte leaving as free agents, Arsenal seems to have done well to replace them with Norgaard and Zubimenddi in the middle of the park.
