“I had this feeling that I do not belong here … I continue to hear the sounds of someone crying …” Another short animation short film to take advantage of – it is worth mounted. Monsoon blue is a 14-minute short film made by filmmakers in Hong Kong and after playing in festivals in recent years, it is now available online to watch. The dream of a red fish transforming into its wild form arouses its memories forgotten for a long time. The film also talks about a young woman working in this pet store for fish. She and the goldfish are both trapped in the city. “When our soul is lost, where and how could we look for it?” Featuring the voice of Kay Tse. The short film won the best animated short film at the Golden Horse Film Festival 2024 in Taiwan. Another review describes it better: “Between the difficulties of the summer with its nameless dissatisfaction, a parallel exploration of a memory dear to childhood and an abundance of images of fish, the short term makes an investigation which, in consideration, is surprising in its enormous.” The animation is beautiful and all the fish here are super cute. It is produced by Flying Monkeys Production (based in Hong Kong). According to a script written by Donald Wingkin Kwok and Ellis Kayin Chan. And with original music from Allex Chan (Room307). This first was presented in first in 2023 and won the best animated short film at the Golden Horse Film Festival. He also played at the 2024 Sitges Film Festival and other holidays around the world.
