All of a sudden, nationals are in the middle of another sequence of long -term losses. They played good baseball for a few weeks, but the tides turned and they now lost seven in a row. The Nats will seek to turn the tides and avoid a scan on the shelves.
With a left -hander on the mound, the Nationals will change their range. Andres Chaparro will start with the first goal. Riley Adams will get a heavy workload now that Drew Millas has come out and that he will start again behind marble. Daylen Lile will start in the outside field for the first time since his illness. This means that James Wood will be DH. After a few days of alignment, Brady House is back to the third goal. Brad Lord will start on the mound.
For the Rays, Tristan Gray will obtain his first departure from the series to the second goal. This moves Brandon Lowe to DH. Everson Pereira will start in the central field as he did in the first match in the series. Hunter Feduccia will have another departure behind the plate. Recruit Ian Seymour will start on the mound.
