Warriors vs. Clippers injury report: James Harden questionable

The Golden State Warriors haven’t been playing the best or prettiest basketball in the world lately, but they’ve quietly gotten the job done. They have won six of their last eight games and, after tonight, will play eight straight at home.

Which means if they can beat the LA Clippers on the road, they’ll enter a soft part of the schedule with some momentum and a chance to make some sort of run. And fortunately for the Dubs, they have a healthy team heading to the Intuit Dome. Here is the full injury report.

Out — Seth Curry (left sciatic nerve irritation)

The bad news is that young Curry is out again and has only played two more games for the Warriors. The good news is that he is the only player listed on Golden State’s injury report. The only other players unavailable are LJ Cryer and Malevy Leonons, who are on two-way contracts and will not fit.

Out — Chris Paul (not with the team)

Yes, Paul is still technically a member of the Clippers, despite his ugly divorce from the team during his final NBA season. They sent him home, but didn’t waive him, likely so they could use his salary to facilitate some potential trades over the next month.

Out — Bradley Beal (left hip fracture)

Los Angeles’ season didn’t go at all as planned, in part due to Paul’s forced absence and Beal’s unfortunate absence. The three-time All-Star only played six games with his new team before undergoing season-ending surgery.

Out — Bogdan Bogdanović (left hamstring injury management)

Bogdanović had the worst season of his nine-year NBA career. He’s playing a career-low 22.5 minutes per game and averaging just 8.0 points…the first time in his career he’s been in single digits. His 33.3 percent rate from deep is the second-worst of the sharpshooter’s career, and thanks to injuries, he has only played in 16 of Los Angeles’ 34 games. That’s not expected to change anytime soon, as he doesn’t yet have a return timetable as he misses his fifth straight competition.

Out — Derrick Jones Jr. (right knee sprain)

Given their struggles with exceptional athletes, the Warriors have to feel lucky not to have to face Jones, who will be out until after the All-Star break after suffering an injury over the weekend. He’s really made strides since joining the Clippers last year, and is averaging double figures for the second straight season…after never doing that in his first eight years.

Questionable — James Harden (right shoulder pain)

Harden isn’t the player he once was, but he’s still really, really, really good. The southpaw is averaging 25.7 points and 8.0 assists per game. It will be a huge break for the Dubs if Harden misses his third game of the year.

Likely — Yanic Konan Niederhäuser (illness)

Niederhäuser, a 6’11 Swiss rookie, was the last first-round pick in June’s draft. He did a decent job filling in for Ivica Zubac who was injured, but the Dubs probably won’t see much of him tonight now that Zubac is back.

Good game, Dub Nation! The game begins at 7:00 p.m. PT on NBC Sports Bay Area and Peacock.
