Warnings of Iowa floods: Polk counties, Dallas touched

Flood warning issued for Polk counties, Dallas; Two monks trails are forced to close
RIGHT AWAY. Several monks’ roads closed this morning after heavy rains created sudden floods. This is what East Euclid looked like around 730, with several inches of stagnant water under the viaduct near the I-235. You can see at least a few cars stuck in the water. Always a good idea to turn around. Don’t drow. We expect moderate floods in the monks’ region today while rivers increase after precipitation. Todd Magel de KCCI is along the Colby Park cycle path to Windsor Heights, and Todd, you can see just behind you this water slipping wherever you look. YEAH. Jodi. It’s been a while since we have covered in floods here in the center of Iowa. We had a lot this morning. Take a look behind me. We are right next to an i-235 in Windsor Heights. Colby Park is right next to us. And it’s Walnut Creek. You can look. It is very high at the moment, and it works very quickly thanks to all the rain that we had early this morning. In fact, it’s not just the OH, we will have to get away from the way here. SORRY. We have obtained crews through the city of Windsor Heights. They are therefore about to close this path which passes along Colby Park. And so the crews were presented here on the damage. Earlier in the day. And it is one of the many trails that will close if we want to look more closely, you can see part of the water that bubbles through the ground. We are told to the director of the city, Windsor Heights, that it is water that comes down from the highway. He tries to enter the stream, but there is so much water in the stream that the water cannot go nowhere, and it bubbles through the ground. It is therefore only a Walnut Creek and Windsor Heights area. It is also raised in Clive and Urbandale, where this stream finally goes north and west of us. So keep in mind that these trails can be closed. If you are walking, jogging, walking your dog, cycling, it could be a problem there. In addition, the trails of the monks have closed, and we will hear more about this to come this evening to four, five and six. And we live in Windsor Heights. Todd Magel, Kcci Eight News, Iowa news leader. YES. Speaking of the closure of monks trails, the floods forced two to close in the city. This includes the Walnut Creek path of Center Street at the Bridge of Grand Avenue and the Bill Riley path of the Walnut Creek connector with water works. PARK. City staff closely keep an eye on the river levels, and more closures are expected as river levels increase throughout the weekend. Users of the trails can send SMS to DSM at 8
