Warner Bros, Bhanushali Studios, Joat Films concludes an agreement with five films

Warner Bros. Pictures bets very large on the Indian market with a new strategic partnership which will see the emblematic titles of the studio obtain the treatment of Bollywood.

The studio has signed an exclusive five films agreement with Bhanushali Studios Limited (BSL) and Joat Films to develop Indian adaptations of Warner Bros. Pictures. The pact aims to reinvent the classic WB properties through an Indian cultural lens while preserving universal themes that have made global successes. Warner Bros. Pictures will manage global distribution.

BSL, led by the founder and producer Vinod Bhanushali, marked Grand with “Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai”, which caught five trophies at the Prix Filmfare Ott (Streaming), including the best original film. The company recently concluded an agreement with three films with the real films of Hansal Mehta. His slate understands “Janhit Mein Jaari”, “Main Atal Hoon”, “Costao”, “Bhaiyya Ji” and “Kahan Shuru Kahan Khatam”, covering theatrical and streaming versions.

The addition of production fire power to the company is Jack Nguyen of Joat Films, which brings three decades of experience in the industry and a first agreement existing with Warner Bros. Pictures, which will start with a Korean remake of “The Stanse”.

The development of the first title is already underway, with creative teams and production times to be unveiled imminently.

A Bollywood remake of “The Stanse” was announced in 2021, but has not yet been concluded.
