Visions cancels Andor’s Stormtrooper upgrade

The best stormtrooper change that Andor made to Star Wars was reversed in a way I can’t believe. There are many types of stormtroopers in Star Warsoften seen as clumsy and inaccurate grunts from the Empire. However, Andor fixed this stormtrooper error.
Like the best Star Wars tv show, Andor strengthened the franchise in many ways. Not only did it add immense context, drama and weight to the formation of Star Wars“Rebel alliance, but Andor forced a lot of people to take the franchise seriously in a way they might not have done before.
The stormtrooper change mentioned above was just one of the many ways in which Andor I made sure of it, but I am disconcerted to find that Star Wars just reversed it.
Andor finally made Stormtroopers scary again
What Andor it was actually to make the stormtroopers scarysomething that Star Wars had forgotten over the decades. From the first Star Wars In the film, the Imperial soldiers were seen as jokes.
Whether it’s the way one of them hits their head on a door, the jokes at their expense, or the bad aim that allows Luke, Han, and Leia to escape the Death Star unscathed, Star Wars I never took stormtroopers seriously.
Andor changed this by treating the Star Wars galaxy with increased maturity. The Empire has become a terrible organization, capable of committing atrocities depicted in real, grounded and terrifying ways. What made stormtroopers even scarier was that they were rarely around for this.
Andor focused more on other types of Imperial soldiers, reserving the stormtroopers for huge climactic moments like the Ghorman Massacre. This meant that whenever stormtroopers actually appeared in Andorthey were presented as the elite soldiers of the Empire who committed its worst crimes. Above all, it made Star Wars’ the most iconic villains are scarier than ever.
Star Wars: Visions Season 3 undoes Andor’s Stormtrooper change
Despite Andorall our efforts, Star Wars: Visions Season 3 makes stormtroopers closer to what they’ve always been, albeit in different ways. The first way Star Wars: Visions reverse AndorThe change comes in Episode 2. In this episode, a rebel princess helps a young alien survive an Imperial raid, bringing him into conflict with an entire squadron of stormtroopers.
Although there is a large group of stormtroopers, they revert to being inaccurate and bumbling idiots. At some point, A a group of five to ten stormtroopers fire their weapons at a stationary speeder, missing every shot they fire. Right before that, they get beaten up by a cute baby alien with a slingshot.
Star Wars: Visions season 3, episode 9 continues to change Andorthe perception of stormtroopers, but in a very different way. This episode delves into the psyche of a stormtrooper as he dies on the Death Star. This makes the stormtroopers feel much more grounded, like Andor did, but in a way that arguably humanized them.
Instead, Andor made stormtroopers a competent embodiment of evil. Star Wars: Visionshowever, makes them clumsy fools or humanized soldiers again.
