Colin Jost Tells Scarlett Johansson a Joke in an SNL Joke Exchange With Michael Che

“Saturday Night Live” stars Colin Jost and Michael Che continued their annual Christmas tradition of writing horribly offensive jokes to tell on Weekend Update. Except this year, Che lied to Jost by telling him that they weren’t doing their annual exchange but were still preparing his – so Jost was the only one reading jokes, to the delight of Che and the audience.
Che didn’t hold back for Jost once again, a year after making his co-host tell harsh jokes about Jost’s wife, Scarlett Johansson, watching from the sidelines.
“Critics say a new series of U.S. Mint coins celebrating great moments in the country’s history ignores civil rights. But what about the coin that celebrates the place where black people actually come from: ships,” Jost reluctantly began reading as Che laughed at his joke.
Jost continued: “The Archdiocese of New York is going to create a fund for victims of sexual abuse in the church. Yet I get nothing for shutting up and taking it like a champ?” The audience gasped and laughed as Jost read his final prepared joke, while Che said Jost should have written one for him.
“New research shows millions of women are leaving the workforce due to menopause. Which means I only have a few years left on my gravy train,” a photo of Johansson appeared on the screen as Jost grimaced. “My girlfriend is already telling me: ‘Colin, I’m hot. Colin, I’m sweating.’ Bitch, you’re having a hot flash.
“But don’t worry about me, I have a backup. They don’t call Wednesday hump day for nothing,” Jost finished, as a photo of Jenna Ortega’s Netflix character Wednesday Addams appeared on screen.
