Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma said to become domestic cricket players to keep the dream of the World Cup in 2027 alive
The former winner of the Indian World Cup Kris Srikkanth believes that the legendary Indian duo of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli should be considered as part of the XI of India until the ICC 2027 World Cup. However, he urged Indian management to make them ready for participation in domestic competitions.

The duo was seen for the last time playing for India in the final of the ICC 2025 Champions Trophy, where India won its second title of consecutive CIC under the direction of the Skipper Rohit Sharma. The form of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli was also not considered a huge concern on the Indian side, because the two strikers, despite their age, were impeccable.
