Rohit Sharma made his debut for India in 2007, while Virat Kohli played his first international match a year later, in 2008. Notably, Rohit featured in Kohli’s first ODI match. Over the years, the two have become stalwarts of Indian cricket, representing the country in all three formats until 2024.

They have played 60 Tests, 225 ODIs and 106 T20Is together. Both legends retired from T20 internationals after guiding India to victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup and stepped away from Test cricket ahead of the 2025 Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy against England.

The milestone of equaling Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid’s record came in Kohli’s 305th ODI and Rohit’s 276th. They have shown longevity in Indian cricket for almost two decades.

The partnership between Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid began in 1996 when Dravid made his debut for India, joining an already established Tendulkar in the national team.
