VIP detail that makes no sense

This article contains spoilers For season 3 of “squid game”.

Say what you want about the bad American acting VIPs in “Squid Game”, but there is a detail involving the public members of this infernal tournament which frankly made no sense this season, and that implies the secret surrounding their identity.

We finally discovered in season 1 that these death matches were not only a chance for a better life for the players, but they took place for the entertainment of a group of rich unidentified people who played with the well-being of those who fight for the 45.6 billion prices won in money. In the midst of their horrible and painfully forced conversations, the VIPs hid behind ornate gold masks, supposed to maintain their anonymity from other guests. It was a sensible approach, and although we knew that these characters come back for season 3, this approach seemed to collapse entirely in the last season of the show thanks to a special advantage which saw the VIPs become more active than ever.

For the first time, we saw the VIPs in a games room running players who had not succeeded. Season 3, episode 3 saw them dressed in guards in these pink combinations and black masks, walking in the corridors of the Cache-Cache challenge, ending all the trapped trap. It is here, however, that their barbarism act has transformed into what you think is an error, because all the VIPs have removed their masks against each other, revealing who they were. For a show that had spent so long keeping allegiances and hidden faces, the group of wealthy people were completely exposed, and none of them cared about it. For what?

Squid Game 3 has rendered these redundant glamorous gold masks

After the session of unique shot in which the VIPs participated, the Paris group remained in the living room they had usually occupied for the rest of the show, looking at the brand new batch of distance games and betting on the way to the way where a baby could enter it (another ridiculous moment of this season, passing). The strangest thing about all of this, however, is that they returned to wear their elaborate golden masks when, at that time, all their secrets had come out.

After showing their faces nonchalantly during the Keys and Knives game, they could surely have determined who else was part of this group of rich Zillionaires who attended this event once the most secret. Why was this idea integrated into history? Such a major revelation could have added a dramatic turn, and these repugnant characters could have faced a different risk of the unfortunate players on which they were betting. Instead, nothing has changed and the games went without a hitch.

This is it and many other little problems in the last chapter of “Squid Game” which weakens the show’s song of the show, pushing holes in what started as a waterproof show, tense and involving a program and has just not become things as serious as some could have hoped for. We know that we must not hate the player and hate the game instead, but in the case of VIPs, it is completely reasonable to hate how treated they were.
