Villaraigosa dit Harris, Becerra must “apologize” to Americans

The former mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio Villaraigosa, a candidate in 2026 for the Governor of California, criticized former vice-president Kamala Harris and the former American secretary for health and social services Xavier Becerra Tuesday as an accomplice to cover the cognitive decline of former Biden president during his mandate.
Villaraigosa said these actions, in part, led President Trump to win the November elections. Becerra, who was previously Attorney General of California, is also in the running for the governor, and Harris plans to jump in the race. All three are democrats.
“At the highest level of our government, people in power were intentionally accomplices or who are purely and say in systematic coverage to maintain the mental decline of Joe Biden of the public,” said Villaraigosa in a statement. “Now we have come to learn this coverage includes two eminent California politicians who have been a prosecutor general of California – the one who presents himself for the governor and another who plans to come to the post of governor. Voters deserve to know the truth, what did Kamala Harris and Xavier Becerra know, when he knew, and above all, why did he know or the other? “

Villaraigosa based its remarks on extracts from “Original Sin: President Biden of the decline, his concealment and his disastrous choice to run again,” wrote by Jake Tapper of CNN and Alex Thompson d’Axios and published on Tuesday.
The book, largely on anonymous sources, argues that the confidants and the inner circle of Biden kept its state of deterioration of the American people, leading to the republican victory during the presidential election of 2024.
The book depicts Biden as in decline as long as a decade, and argues that a circle of political advisers and his family hid his condition to voters.
“Kamala Harris and Xavier Becerra were sworn in and were responsible for protecting the American people, but instead, Kamala Harris said several times that there was nothing wrong with Biden and Becerra closed his eyes,” said Villaraigosa.
“Original Sin” was published shortly after the former president revealed on Sunday that he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer which had spread to his bones.
An example of Biden’s cognitive decline quoted by the authors is that he confused Becerra with the secretary of internal security Alejandro Mayorkas, according to the New York Times.
Invited to respond to the attack by Villaraigosa, Becerra did not address this incident, but expressed wishes for the former president and his family while Biden begins treatment. He also defended his relations with the former president when he was the country’s head of health.
“I met President Biden if necessary to make important decisions and run with my team at HHS,” said Becerra in a statement. “It is clear that the president was aging, but he made the mission clear: leading the largest health agency in the world, extending care to millions of other Americans than ever before, negotiating the cost of prescription drugs and withdrawing from a world pandemic. And we have delivered. “
Attempts to reach a Harris representative failed Tuesday afternoon.
