Vicky Krieps on Jim Jarmusch, not preparing for roles, abandoning the phone

Vicky Krieps is one of the stars presented during the 59th edition of this year of Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (KVIFF). During the opening evening of the Czech festival, she received her president’s prize at a huge ovation. Of course, I put people’s ideas because they think I’m cool, because I am an actor and I do what I want, I say my opinion, and it’s cool. But the truth is, it’s a journey. However, I did not try to be different.

Krieps continued by sharing a story of his time at school. “I would have been happy to integrate myself, but I did not do it. I did not continue to be special,” she said. “I remember carrying a tie, because I thought:” Why does no one do that? ” For me, it’s just a beautiful clothing. Krieps also shared his reflections on what motivates the actors. “I think most actors have a traumatized childhood and they try to heal themselves,” she said. “This is why they become actors, and then it is a question of how much you treat this.
