Verizon to stop selling new subscriptions + play in July

Verizon calls him leaves his + play program, with the telecommunications giant by telling customers that he will cease to sell new subscriptions because he rather focuses on his offers MyHome and MyPlan.
In an opinion on its website, the company said it would no longer allow new registrations from July 9. Current customers + Play will always be able to keep and manage active subscriptions without interruption.
“With + Play, we led the industry to create a platform that allowed Verizon customers to discover, buy and manage subscriptions through entertainment, audio, game, fitness, music and lifestyle,” Verizon spokesperson told Thewrap. “We have evolved our platform via the creation of Myplan and Myhome, which takes the best entertainment platforms and makes them available to exclusive savings for our mobile customers and at home in a simple and easy-to-manage construction.”
Launched in 2022, the Verizon reading platform allowed users to manage a variety of active subscriptions in a single place, from Netflix and Hulu to Xbox Game Pass and Peloton.
In an interview with Thewrap in February 2024, Verizon’s revenue director Frank Boulben said the company managed nearly 12 million content subscriptions and had more than 30 partners affiliated to the offer.
Verizon has not noted how many customers use + play or how long it will remain operational after next month. More than half of the company’s mobile customers are currently on MyPlan.
