United Airlines Flight carrying more than 200 passengers declares “Mayday” shortly after takeoff

Washington (WKRC) – United Airlines Flight 108 drivers said “Mayday” after having experienced engine failure shortly after takeoff from Washington Dulles International Airport on July 25, according to people. The Boeing 787 bound for Munich, transporting 219 passengers and 11 crew members, met in trouble while it was going to 10,000 feet.
“Failure, engine failure, left engine, United 108,” lit the drivers of the drivers, according to a recording available on YouTube. “Declare an emergency.” They added: “Mayday, Mayday, Mayday”, while flying at 5,000 feet.
Air traffic controllers asked the pilots to turn right and return to the airport. However, the plane was too heavy to land immediately due to the food for a transatlantic flight. The pilots had to stay in the air until they could safely adjust the weight of the plane.
After finishing a second loop around the airport and spilled the necessary fuel, the crew managed to get the plane to Dulles after more than 30 minutes in the air. All passengers and the crew moved safely.
Washington spokesperson Dulles told people that the plane landed safely and was checked by fireflies and airport rescue before being towed to a door. United Airlines said the plane had a “mechanical problem”.
