In London, the opening of the trial of six men accused of having burned a company on behalf of the Wagner group
The trial of six men accused of having burned, on behalf of the Russian paramilitaries of Wagner, the site of a company delivering telecommunications equipment to Ukraine, opened on Wednesday before the London criminal court.
On March 20, 2024, around 60 firefighters had been mobilized to overcome fire which had affected industrial warehouses in Leyton, in eastern London.
The company in question, Oddisey, was involved in the organization of humanitarian aid for Ukraine and regularly exported various products and materials to this country, including equipment for the Internet access system by Satellite Starlink of SpaceX.
Among the defendants, Dylan Earl, 20, and Jake Reeves, 22 – who recognized the facts – are accused of having recruited the performers and of having organized the operation, “A deliberate criminal act, committed on the order of a foreign influence”said the representative of the prosecutor Duncan Penny, on the first day of the trial.

The two men had also planned an attack on a restaurant in the center of London and the kidnapping of its owner, he added.
The case had shaken the British political class, and the United Kingdom had called for “Immediate end” of the “Malicious activities orchestrated by Russia” on his soil. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had shortly after summoning the Russian ambassador to London.
