Back at UFC 300 in 2024, Pereira put the lights on a bitter rival and the former UFC Jamahal Hill champion in style. After taking an accidental illegal groin kick, Pereira prevented the referee from intervening, pushing him aside, then delivered a left hook of hell who sent a hill crashing on the canvas. Only a few additional shots were necessary after the Knockdown to lock its first defense of the title as light heavyweight champion.

Pereira (12-3 MMA, 9-2 UFC) returns to the cage this Saturday in the main event of the UFC 320 in T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. He faces Magomed Ankalaev (21-1-1 MMA, 12-1-1 UFC) in an immediate revenge match after losing his belt against the Russian fighter in March.
