UCLA Men’s Golf secures the Golf Team Academic Award platform


Norman, okla. -The UCLA male golf program won an academic prize for the 2024-25 platform golf team, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Tuesday.


The male golf programs that provided the team average (GPA) of 3.0 or better have been listed as recipient of the academic price of the golf team. GCAA collegial programs that have a GPA secure team on 3.0 and 3.5.


The UCLA was one of the multiple programs in Division I of the NCAA to obtain a “entirely academic” distinction with a GPA of 3.0 or better. The Bruins concluded their 2024-25 season at the NCAA championships for the first time since 2018 after winning the Big Ten 2025 championship.


Pablo Ereño Senior was recognized this summer as a All-America golf scholarship holder for the third consecutive season. Ereño, the male golfer of the year 2024-2025, was appointed a winner of the first team of the All-America® All-America® once the spring season of Bruins ended.


Redshirt sophomore Matthew Yamin was honored at the end of the school year of the fully academic team of the UCLA, which is made up of the individual of each athletics team with the highest cumulative GPA.
