Adjust your baseline volume based on your environment
Volume is pretty easy to understand, but did you know that Spotify allows premium users to adjust the app’s base volume based on their surroundings? You can select Calm, Normal Or Strongand each has its own advantage.
Calm will make songs a little calmer and cleaner, making it a good choice if you’re relaxing at home. Normal plays songs at a medium base volume and the sound is less crisp than Calm. It’s a good choice for most people and situations. Strong is – you guessed it – louder, but you may lose some audio quality due to the volume. This option is great if you’re at the gym or in other equally noisy environments.
Changing your Spotify settings takes no time and can improve your entire listening experience.

Use Spotify Equalizer for More Control
If you prefer to be more concrete about how your bass and treble appear in each song, you can adjust the in-app EQ. Adjusting your bass affects low-frequency sounds, making your music deeper with increased bass or flatter with less bass. Treble affects the highest frequencies of sound, making your music brighter and crisper with increased treble or duller and a bit fuzzy with less treble.
Here’s how to access the equalizer on your iPhone:
1. Open the Spotify app and tap your profile picture in the upper left corner.

How to find the right equalizer setting
iPhones and Android devices have a manual EQ slider and a handful of preset gender-based EQs.
You should see the manual EQ slider, which looks like a six-point line graph. When you first come to this page, the EQ should be flat.
Each point on the graph can be adjusted for more or less sound. The left-most bar represents your bass, the right-most bar controls your treble, and the middle bars control – you guessed it – your mids. You can modify the bars as you see fit.
There are also gender-based equalizers on this page. You can choose the genre you listen to and the app automatically adjusts the sliders to optimize for that style of music. After choosing one, you can further adjust the sliders for the perfect listening experience.
If you want to reset the EQ, there is a gender based EQ called Flat. This will reset the equalizer to its default value.
Adjusting these settings can really make your music stand out.
Although you can access the equalizer in the iOS, Android, and desktop versions of Spotify, you cannot access the equalizer in the Mac version of Spotify. But you can look for an equalizer app to help you in your quest for the best sound.
Adjust the quality of your music for clearer sound
You can also adjust the audio quality of your music.
