Trump’s latest response to CBS reporter goes viral

President Donald Trump continues its tendency to insult female journalists.
The President of the United States’ most recent target was a CBS reporter, Nancy Cordes. After confronting Trump about an attack in Washington DC that killed one National Guard officer, Sarah Beckstrom (20), while seriously injuring another, Andrew Wolfe (24), the president retaliated by calling her a “stupid person.”
Authorities revealed that the suspect, Rahmanullah Lakanwal (29), traveled to Washington from Washington state. He is currently in custody and has been charged with several crimes, including first-degree murder, according to D.C. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro.
The conflict was sparked by Cordes’ investigation of Lakanwal, who previously worked with the CIA in Afghanistan, during a press conference. “U.S. officials say the suspect worked closely with the CIA in Afghanistan for years and was examined and the investigation found to be flawless.”
Although his statement was confirmed by CIA Director John Ratcliffe in an earlier statement, Trump claimed there was no such vetting process. He added: “He went crazy and that happens too. This happens too often with these people. There are many more in this country, and we will eliminate them. But they say hello. Something is happening to them.“
Cordes pushed back on his comments, declaring them false and reminding him that his own people had even confirmed there was a thorough vetting process. She asked: “Your DOJ IG just reported this year that DHS and FBI have been doing extensive screening of these Afghans brought into the United States, so why are you blaming the Biden administration?”
That’s when he attacked her. The president responded aggressively, saying: “Because they let them in. Are you stupid? Are you a stupid person? Trump fired back. Because they arrived on a plane with thousands of other people who shouldn’t be here, and you’re asking questions just because you’re a stupid person.“
This is the third incident in less than a month in which Trump has insulted a female journalist. Last week he highlighted Bloomberg Catherine Lucey and called her “porcine“while telling him to be”calm.” And a few days ago he called The New York Times Katie Rogersugly, both inside and out“.
After both incidents, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt stepped up and defended the president. Asset. She claimed his honesty was the reason he was re-elected in the first place. “Look, the president is very frank and honest with everyone in this room. You all saw it yourselves. You have all experienced it yourselves. And I think that’s one of the many reasons why the American people re-elected this president, because of his candor.” she said in a statement.
