Trump was `disappointed ” by the army parade on the day of his BDAY and wants to try again

President Trump would have another Big Boy military parade later this year.

You will remember that in June, Trump made the army put a parade in the streets of Washington with a bunch of tanks and fireworks for its birthday – an event which was also presented as the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the army.

The event was widely considered an extremely expensive flop, with a low participation rate and creaky tanks and, in the opinion of some, dull walking. To rub the salt in the injury, millions of people in the United States participated in a “No Kings Day” counter-demonstration, walking against the various attacks of the Trump administration against civilians, democracy and the separation of powers. Barely the characteristics of the great spectacular of the dictator style he was considering.

The president would have been so disappointed with the march – in particular – that he planned to launch another Tyran parade, this time with the navy. The Wall Street Journal has this jewel of a nugget in a new report on the way Trump has become more daring in his autocratic trends during his second term:

Trump also pushed the optics of the presidency in a monarchical direction, holding a military parade in June for the 250th anniversary of the army. The officials had thwarted one in his first mandate by arguing that it would look like a show of the third world. After the Washington parade, Trump told the aid that he was disappointed with the walk, and the American navy tries to plan a greater celebration this fall, hoping for a shimmering show with Seacraft, said administration officials.

The Navy will also mark its 250th anniversary in October, but has not yet announced its intention to celebrate the opportunity. It looks like they are going to start a birthday party, whether they want it or not.

Cassidy sounds alarm

Senator Bill Cassidy (R-La), chairman of the Senate, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, calls for an indefinite postponement of the HHS Advisory Committee on Vaccination Practices (ACIP), which was scheduled for September 18. Approvals for the vaccine coded.

Since the White House announced the dismissal, a handful of senior CDC officials submitted their resignations in protest. Monarez has just been confirmed for the position by the Senate in July.

“Serious allegations have been made regarding the agenda of the meeting, members and the lack of scientific processes followed for the meeting of the ACIP of September now announced,” Cassidy said in a statement. “These decisions have a direct impact on the health of children and the meeting should not occur as long as significant opinion has been carried out. If the meeting takes place, the recommendations made must be dismissed as lacking in legitimacy given the gravity of allegations and current disorders in the leadership of the CDC. ”

For the context, Cassidy was initially distrusted to vote to confirm RFK Jr. to direct health and social services because of its anti-vacuum beliefs. (Cassidy is a doctor.) But the two have entered into an agreement that Kennedy would not make substantial modifications to the ACIP. In June, Kennedy announced that he was suppressing the 17 members of the board of directors.

Now Trump wants a mid-term agreement

One day after Axios reported that the president of the National Democratic Committee Ken Martin discussed the holding of a mini-convention before the mid-term of 2026, Trump announced that he wanted to do the same for the Republicans.

“I am thinking of recommending a national convention to the Republican Party, just before mid-term. It has never been done before,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Stay listening !!!”
