Trump to meet the best leaders in Congress as a government closure is looming

Washington – President Donald Trump will meet the four best leaders of the Congress at the White House on Monday while the chronometer is close to a potential government closure, a white house and four Congress officials said in NBC News.

Since then, Jeffries and Schumer have exchanged very public barbs with Trump about the closure of the imminent government and the Democrats’ requests to attach health care policies to the temporary financing bill.

Jeffries and Schumer published a joint declaration on Saturday evening.

“President Trump has once again accepted a meeting at the Oval Office,” the Democratic leaders said. “As we have said on several occasions, the Democrats will meet anywhere, at any time and with anyone to negotiate a bipartisan expenditure agreement which meets the needs of the American people. We are resolved in our determination to avoid a government closure and respond to the republican health care crisis.

The Republicans insisted so that they did not concessions to adopt a short -term financing bill for seven weeks and that any negotiation can occur during the credits process.

Tensions have increased when the White House management and budget office this week asked agencies to prepare mass shooting plans in the event of closure.

Government’s financing is expected to expire on September 30, threatening the jobs of millions of federal workers. The Congress must adopt or extend a bill of expenditure before October 1 to prevent a closure.

Schumer called Thune on Friday and “urged him to make President Trump meet because the deadline for a closure of the government is fast approaching,” said a Schumer assistant.

The Democrats of the Senate also plan to hold a conference call on Sunday afternoon before the return of the room to DC
