Phoenix – The Padres de San Diego optionized the left -hander JP Sears in Triple -A El Paso one day after a gross start with its new franchise.
The Padres acquired the Mason Miller and Sears lift of athletics on the commercial deadline last week in exchange for a set of prospects, including the highly appreciated ceu-out of Vries.
Sears granted five points and 10 strokes in five rounds with a defeat of 6-2 against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday. The 29-year-old has a file of 7-10 and 5.12 ERA on 23 departures this season.
The Padres remembered the right -hander Sean Reynolds to take the place of Sears on the list.
