President Donald Trump said on Friday that US Steel and Nippon Steel will form a “partnership”, after the Japanese childbirth offer to acquire his American rival has been blocked for national security land.
“This will be a planned partnership between United States Steel and Nippon Steel, which will create at least 70,000 jobs and add $ 14 billion to the American economy,” Trump said in an article on his social social media platform.
The US Steel headquarters will remain in Pittsburgh and most of the investment will take place over the next 14 months, said the president. American steel shares have jumped by more than 24%.
