Justin Timberlake reveals “a tireless Lyme disease battle”

While his world tour of The Forge Tomorrow for a long time ends, Justin Timberlake shared today with fans he “read against certain health problems”, including Lyme disease.

“Living with this can be tirelessly debilitating, both mentally and physically,” wrote the singer on Instagram. “When I obtained the diagnosis for the first time, I was surely shocked. But, at least, I could understand why I would be on stage and in a massive amount of nervous pain or, I feel a fatigue or a crazy illness.”

Timbelerlake said there was a time when he planned to abandon the tour.

Indeed, the winner of a Grammy reprogrammed a certain number of dates last year because of what he then said to be a multitude of problems such as bronchitis, laryngitis and back pain.

“I was faced with a personal decision. Stop tormenting? Or, continue and understand it. I decided that the joy that the performance brings me to the ephemeral stress that felt. “I would like to do my part to help others undergo this disease too.”

Lyme disease is caused by a bacteria transferred by infected ticks when they bite humans. Some people are more prone to it than others. The first symptoms, according to Mayo Clinic, include a rash, fever, headache, extreme fatigue, joint stiffness and muscle pain.

This year has increased in tick populations and Lyme disease cases in many areas of the United States, especially in New York, Michigan and Pennsylvania.
