Trump declared an anti-fas a terrorist group in 2020, will this time do this differently? – Red

President Trump used his social media platform, Truth Social, Wednesday to declare antifa as a “major” terrorist organization.
I am happy to inform our many patriots of the United States that I designate Antifa, a sickly sick, dangerous and radical disaster, as a major terrorist organization. I would also strongly recommend that these anti -fas funds are investigating according to the highest standards and legal practices. Thank you for your attention to this question!
See Trump is going, and it’s time: Antifa is “a great terrorist organization” for more of my colleague.
This is not President Trump’s first rodeo with Antifa. While the American cities were burning during the mainly peaceful and totally covid demonstrations of the summer of 2020, it was obvious that someone called the gunshots. The response from the establishment to which the land opens for where we are today.
President Donald Trump tweeted on Sunday that the American government “would designate antifa as a terrorist organization”.
There were only two problems with it. First, he does not seem to have the legal authority to do so. And secondly, it is not clear that the group of radical activists defined vaguely is an organization.
What does President Trump’s declaration mean?
The federal government has no provision to appoint a national organization a terrorist group; Rather, he recognizes terrorist acts. This is how it bursts.
Foreign terrorist organizations (FTO) are appointed by the Secretary of State under article 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), as amended, a group is designated as an FTO if he meets three criteria: 1) The organization is a foreign entity; 2) The organization engages in a terrorist activity (see (as defined in article 1182 (a) (3) (b) of title 8 or terrorism (as defined in article 2656f (d) (2) of title 22), which means that it covers acts like the detour Politics, religious or ideological goals; and 3) organizational activities threaten the security of American nationals or national security in the United States
Specially designated global terrorists were created under the executive death 13224 by President George W. Bush on September 23, 2001. It allows the secretary of the Treasury to designate entities or individuals as SDGTS if they: 1) commit or present a significant risk of committing terrorism acts which threaten American nationals or national security; 2) Provide material support to the designated terrorists or terrorist organizations; or 3) they are detained, controlled by or act on behalf of an already designated terrorist group.
There is no legal provision for a terrorist organization based on the country. Article 2331 (5) (a) of title 18 defines “inner terrorism” as criminal acts which take place with the United States which seem intentional to intimidate or constrain a civilian population; 2) influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or 3) Allow the conduct of a government by massive destruction, assassination or kidnapping.
I think that in this stage, it is more logical to see this as a directive of the president to the Attorney General to repress himself with Antifa.
Objections
The New York Times led an excellent factual overview, although strongly inclined, of the order of President Trump: can Trump really designate an antifa a terrorist group? Here are the facts.
The main objection, apart from being an action by President Trump, is that Antifa is not an organization; It is a philosophy.
Antifa is a label for a political subculture or a style of protest. The phenomenon does not have a leader, an initiation process, membership jets, a head office, a bank account or a centralized structure.
Cynthia Miller-Idriss, professor of American university who studies domestic extremism, said that Antifa was an idea that could mobilize people. She compared it to concepts or ideologies such as “white supremacy” and “Islamist extremism”, as opposed to specific groups such as Aryan fraternity or Al-Qaeda.
“There can be small groups organized around Antifa in a district or a community that meet and share this position, but it would be very difficult to see this as linked to an organizational form that could be tackled,” she said, adding: “There is no expert of which I have ever heard who identified Antifa as a real organization.”
If you want to know what really stupid will say about Antifa, you can do worse than Malcolm Nance.
Expert of terrorism here: you cannot designate an idea as a terrorist group.
There is no organization called Antifa. There is no leader or financing path. There is no membership. There is also no American law to charge terrorism. Ask Luigi.

As the fire pointed out, the same arguments used today to argue antifa are not an entity are those used to claim that Al-Qaeda was also an idea, not an organization, while saying that you could not fight terrorism because it was a tactic, not a group.
Can it work?
Probably, if the FBI may be forced to pay attention, there must not be an organization of formal contacts to establish the predicate for a conspiracy charge. What is necessary is a manifest act in the commission of a crime.
The idea that Antifa is not a group is an absolute nonsense. Although there cannot be any Politburo Antifa, and I am not convinced that one is not located inside one of the vestable forests of non -profit organizations on the left / socialist / communist, there are many proofs that certain antifa groups exist.
The antifa cell of Corvalis, Oregon, published a bulletin for its members on the crappy perspective of their attacks, which created for the group.
The antifa cell of Corvalis, Ore. Has published an after-action report on the benefits of the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Here, the City Antifa rose, which appears most of the nights outside the Ice installation in Portland, Oregon, carefully added a request for membership on their website. If you are an international traveler and want to become an anti-end in another country, like the United States, the contact details are provided.
Here is an anti-foster detail how to join an antifa cell, or to start yours with other co-conspirators with similar views. They recommend joining the Torch Antifa network in the United States (Rose City Antifa is one of them), or the adjacent antifa network, the @iwww.… pic.twitter.com/c1w1qn4wa3

These strongly imply that there is a formal organization and a communication channel behind the scenes. An idea does not need a report after written action on the bad image that Antifa A, and it also does not need membership applications or contact points. Actions may seem local, even for members, but it would be rather stupid to say that there is no global organization. If you remember, the communist movements have historically organized in cells where most were not aware of a higher step. Read the excellent inspiration of Ward Clark Antifa? A brief history of the faction of the Red Army, and if we meet, I can tell you about the moment when an Italian carabinery pointed out a machine gunner on me because he was convinced that I was traveling with a Rosse cell fleeing an overview.
Last year, San Diego prosecutors broke the local anti -fas organization, sending 11 accused in prison up to two years for assault and plot to the riot. They argued that there was no group, but “the judge of the San Diego Superior Court, Daniel Goldstein, said that the trial had proved to him that Antifa exists as an organization which seems to have a funding and that they have the capacity to contact and transform themselves into other things very quickly in many different jurisdictions ”.
The last time, Trump was at the end of his mandate, and he was not surrounded by particularly loyal or competent people. This time could be different. Trump has already made noises on the left groups that finance civil disorders.
Trump also said that he had discussed with the Attorney General Pam Bondi, the prospect of raising racketeering accusations against the left groups who, according to him, financed left -wing agitators.
“I asked PAM to examine this in terms of Rico, bringing cases of Rico,” he said, adding: “They should be put in prison, what they do in this country is really subversive.”
The chief of staff Stephen Miller, who also speaks in the Oval Office, cited a “network of organizations” which he accused of having launched riots, having in particular the demonstrations of Black Lives Matter.
“The key point that the president has raised is that someone pays it all.
A targeted effort to continue money and add improvements to terrorism to their violent and subversive activities will remove many of these henchmen, and we will be able to lift the curtain and see if antifa is only an idea.
