Trump and Vance use Kirk murder to announce disturbing plans to investigate “the left”

On Sunday, in media remarks, President Trump clearly indicated that he would continue to use the assassination of right -wing activist Charlie Kirk as a reason to investigate those he considers his political enemies. In fact, he suggested, that work is already underway.
“The problem is on the left-if you look at the problem, the problem is on the left. It is not on the right as some people like to say. The problem we have is on the left,” he told journalists on Sunday. “And when you look at the agitators, you look at the foam that talks about our country so much, the American flag burns everywhere, it’s the left, it’s not the right.”
“They are already under investigation. They are already under a major investigation,” said Trump. “Many people who traditionally, are traditionally on the left – already under investigation.”
We still don’t know who exactly the Trump administration is investigating “already” in the wake of the kirk murder, beyond the work that the FBI does to investigate the attack. But Trump and his allies began to wave around the idea that an amorphous liberal blob was to blame for murder before even a suspect. While the police are still trying to establish a reason for the assassination, the governor of Utah Spencer Cox said on several occasions that the alleged shooter, Tyler Robinson, had “the ideology of the left”, while declaring that Robinson had acted alone.
Trump vice-president JD Vance and the deputy chief of staff of the White House, Stephen Miller, returned some details to this imminent repression of “The Left” on Monday, while Vance organized an episode of the Kirk podcast broadcast from the White House. Vance was joined by Miller and some of Kirk’s other friends, such as Fox News host, Tucker Carlson.
Vance said that the administration is working on “dismantling institutions that promote violence and terrorism in our own country” and said they “explore all the options to bring real unity to our country and stop those who would kill their American compatriots because they don’t like what they say”.
Miller took things in a only sinister direction. He announced that there would soon be an official effort of the federal government to begin to enroll what he claimed to be a “domestic terrorist movement” in the United States, he said that everything would be done on behalf of Kirk.
“With God as a witness, we will use all the resources we have at the Ministry of Justice, in domestic security and in all this government to identify, disturb, eliminate and destroy this network and render America again to the security of the American people,” he said.
Vance encourages right -handers to report people to their bosses
Just as Miller said that there is a kind of unnamed left -wing network working in coordination to organize “Doxing campaigns, organized riots, organized street violence”, Vance encouraged those who listen to target anyone and all those who could publish something on social media criticizing the extremist points of view of the extreme right of Kirk.
“When you see someone celebrating the murder of Charlie, call them. Hell, call their employer. We do not believe in political violence, but we believe in civility, and there is no civility in the celebration of political assassination,” he said.
Vance floats specific groups so that its allies target
WAPO cover of the episode of the Podcast:
Vance called for “generous tax treatment” that the foundations of the open company of George Soros and the Ford Foundation receive that he accused the financing groups of a “disgusting article” in the Nation magazine which, according to him, was used to justify the death of Kirk.
Vance efforts to link the two foundations to the article seem inaccurate. The FORD Foundation gave a subsidy for the nation for the last time for an internship program in 2019, but has not provided money since, according to online files. Bhaskar Sunkara, the president of the nation, said on X that the publication had never received a funds from the open society. The Vance office, asked questions about its accusation, provided a link to a report on the nation by a conservative group, which in turn cited a 2017 report on the foundation grants of the open society.
Trump to the Republicans of Congress: Laying
The republican management of the Chamber plans to put a continuous resolution in the short term “clean” in the short term this week to keep the government open until the week before Thanksgiving. The CR would not include democratic requests, including the extension of increased tax credits from the affordable care law.
Democratic leaders of the Chamber and the Senate said they would not vote for a CR which does not include the provisions of health care.
“The Democrats of the Chamber will not support a bill in favor of republican spending which continues to empty the health care of the American people,” said the minority chief of the Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) in a statement on Monday.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump – who recently declared that the Republicans should not “take the trouble to respond to” Democrats’ requirements – have taken the truth from Truth Social to whip the Republicans who could be against the short -term CR.
“In moments like these, the Republicans must stay together to fight against the radical requirements of the Democratic left and vote” Yes! ” The two votes had to spend a CR clean this week from the House of Representatives, “said President Trump on Truth Social on Monday. “Democrats want the government to firm. Republicans want the government to open up. ”
The legislation to finance the government, of course, requires 60 votes in the Senate. Even if President Trump rejected the idea, the Republicans will need at least a handful of democrats to join them. It is possible that the president ignores this reality because he wants a closure that he can try to blame the Democrats.
