Tributes to Diane Keaton pour in from Bette Midler, Paul Feig and other Hollywood stars

The death of Diane Keaton shook Hollywood, especially the romantic comedy community. The actress was 79 years old. Known for her roles in First Brides Club, Father of the Bride, And Annie Hallthe Oscar winner died on Saturday. Keaton is survived by two children. Less than an hour after news of her passing broke, reactions from across Hollywood began pouring in, expressing their condolences and what it was really like to work with the actress.

Keaton First Wives Club co-star Bette Midlershares on Instagram: “The brilliant, beautiful and extraordinary Diane Keaton has passed away.” She writes: “I can’t tell you how unbearably sad this makes me. She was hilarious, completely original and completely devoid of the guile or competitiveness one would expect from such a star. What you saw was who she was…oh, la, lala!”

Kimberly Williams-Paisleywho played Keaton’s daughter in Father of the bride And Father of the Bride, Part IIalso sharing his thoughts on Instagram. “Diane, working with you will always be one of the highlights of my life. You are unique and it was exciting to be in your orbit for a while. Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, your talent and especially your laughter. 🙏🏻🕊️💔❤️❤️❤️”

Hollywood remembers Diane Keaton
