Trevoh Chalobah and James Trafford called up for World Cup qualifiers

Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah and Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford have been called up to the England squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania to replace the injured Marc Guehi, Nick Pope and Anthony Gordon.
Guehi injured his foot in Crystal Palace’s Conference League win over AZ Alkmaar last week and missed the weekend’s game against rivals Brighton.
Speaking previously, Palace boss Oliver Glasner said: “He’s been walking on crutches for the last two days and couldn’t even walk on his foot.
“Luckily nothing is broken, but at the moment he can’t even walk. It looks like he will miss the England games, but after that, maybe in 10 to 14 days, I hope he can return to training and be available again.”
Newcastle winger Gordon missed Sunday’s defeat to Brentford with a hip problem, while goalkeeper Pope suffered a concussion in the 3-1 defeat.
Chalobah impresses for Chelsea
Chalobah has one senior cap under his belt having been a regular across the various age groups. The 26-year-old has made 10 Premier League appearances for Chelsea this season, scoring twice.
Trafford is yet to make his senior debut but played an important role when the Under-21s won the European Championship two years ago.
England face Serbia at Wembley on Thursday before traveling to Tirana to face Albania on Sunday.
