It is always good in Philadelphia, season 17 will have a crossover that no one saw coming

During 16 seasons, the gang of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” took many ridiculous misdeeds in television shows in their own series. Frank (Danny Devito), in particular, seems to be a somewhat regular element on the local news of Philadelphia, by scary in order to raise sales of firearms or water filters, and he also appeared in talk-shows with Dennis (Glenn Howrton) and Dee (Kaitlin Olson) while trying to control the damage for their brand Wolf Ca. The entire gang also appeared in an episode of the usurpation “Family Feud” “Family Fight”, as organized by Keegan-Michael Key (giving us his best imitation of Steve Harvey), which ended with Dennis completely humiliated. In season 17, however, at least one gang member will go where they have never been before: reality TV.

While we already knew that season 17 was going to present the second chapter of the crossover “It’s Always Sunny” and “Abbott Elementary” which started earlier this year, showing the side of the gang of what happened when they volunteered at the titular school, it seems that this new batch of episodes also presents a completely different cross that we would never have seen. You see, Frank will appear on a fictitious version of “The Golden Bachelor”, and it seems that it will be an absolute disaster in the best way.

Frank goes to the golden baccalaureate, baby!

In the trailer of season 17 of “It’s Always Sunny”, we see Frank dressed in the nine in an episode of “The Golden Bachelor”, the spin-off of the successful reality series “The Bachelor”, where the singles full of hope try to win the heart of the singer. “The Golden Bachelor” offers an older bachelor looking for love, and as Frank is both rich and lescent, it’s a fairly funny (and perfect) adjustment! We see Frank with the host of the franchise “The Bachelor” Jesse Palmer, as well as some rapid interview clips where Frank provides some context or colorful comments. We also presented ourselves to Frank’s main romantic interest, a young woman who is clearly inspired by the daughter Hawk Tuah but with a much more raw name. Frank finds his coarseness charming, who follows her previous romantic interests (including the traditional sex worker tragically deceased Roxy), and even brings her home with Charlie (Charlie Day). The previous seasons of the series interacted massively with real world events and riffured, as when the opening of season 15 of season 15 “It’s Always Sunny” was responsible for each major news that year, but wear by the Hawk Tuah girl is definitely a news.

Between the crossover “Abbott Elementary” and now this Golden Bachelor Sorte-Crossover “, he really has the impression that the series becomes greater and more daring than ever. Is it an attempt to draw new viewers so that the show can continue for another two decades? Or does the “It’s Always Sunny” gang just try to go out with a blow with season 18? We will have to wait and see when the season will be presented on FX on July 9, 2025 (and the next day on Hulu).
